It will probably go and hide in a hole somewhere to recuperate. Though fluid from the injury might be sniffed to track it down by big predators.

If it was a herbivore, it could eat certain herbs/plants with anti-inflammatory & anti-microbial properties like lemongrass, turmeric, bitter leaf, bitter kola, etc. cheesy
