Trying to Update a web service in a VS2008 VB app for wince device and get this message. Have tried re-installing .NET3.5, checking permissions on folder and any other suggestions to fix it on the web but nothing works. I am reluctant to re-install 2008 as I have 2012 and 2015 installed also and will probably need to remove and then re-install all in the correct order. Web service connects OK to PC/Client app (VS2008) but not a smart device app. Has anyone got around this problem successfully? I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
