FRSC Ogun State Command makes political leaders sign to drive safely.
The Sector Commander of FRSC Ogun State Command, Corps Commander Clement Oladele as part of his Command's activities to mark the 4th United Nations Global Road Safety Week, took advocacy campaigns to top government officials in the State.
The Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Right Hounourable Suraju Adekunbi and the Chief Judge of the State, Honourable Justice Olatokunbo Olopade both signed the FRSC Commitment Register to Drive Safely and Encourage Others to do same.
The UN Road Safety Week was tagged Managing Speed in line with its Decade of Action on Road Safety.
Ogun State is said to have major traffic corridors which rank as some of the busiest in the country.
The Sector Commander described over-speeding as responsible for about 55 percent of crashes and injuries on the Nigerian highways.
