okay! Hope you are not HIV positive? I'm negative though there should be something that can cure it within 3months.
No cure for now but it can be managed with an anti-retroviral drug that enables HIV-positive individuals to live a normal life like everybody else. Please, how did you know you are negative? HIV counseling and testing is the ONLY WAY to CONFIRM YOUR HIV STATUS. If you have done it before, PLEASE GO AND GET TESTED.

There are numerous ways one can get infected with HIV. transfusion of HIV infected blood, sharing body piercing objects like Syringe, needle etc. Once you have opening in your body and it comes intact with HIV infected blood, you might get it.

HealthHow To Properly Manage Treatment Fatigue As A HIV Positive Individual by 3Hopeblog(op):
Are you HIV positive and constantly feel tired each morning you wake up? A time, sleeping comfortably at night is no longer possible and taking a nap all day seems like the only solution. Even during the day, you lack energy and carrying out your daily activities without the help of others is impossible.

If this is what you have being passing through for a while. There is every possibility you are experiencing TREATMENT FATIGUE or PILL FATIGUE.

What’s the meaning of that? You might be wonder since you have never heard of it. Just keep on reading.

Treatment Fatigue.

This is constant overtiredness experienced by People Living with HIV (PLHIV) especially those that have been on ARV for years. It is that exhaustion you feel throughout the day especially after taking ARVs for a year or more. This annoying feeling makes you want to stop taking your drugs.

WARNING!!! No matter how you are tempted to stop taking ARV, please don’t give in to this risky idea to avoid increasing your viral load.

Like I always say, you are not alone if you are experiencing it now.

In this article, I will be sharing simple steps that will boost your energy level within a short time. Don’t be surprised if you see yourself doing things you were not able to do for days or even weeks.

What causes treatment fatigue?

Though some researchers believe that anxiety and depression are the major cause of treatment fatigue among PLHIV, others suggest that a combination of different factors is responsible for it. Some of these factors are:

· Anemia.
· Opportunistic infection.
· Hormonal imbalance.
· Poor nutrition.
· Insufficient or poor quality sleep.
· Psychological disorder especially anxiety and depression.

Can treatment fatigue be treated?

Yes! Its effects can be reduced to a minimal level.

Different steps are followed by doctors to diagnose and recommend treatment for each patient. This is because the factors responsible for fatigue in Mr. A might be different from that of Mr. B. So laboratory tests and physical examinations are used to check for the presence of any of the factors I listed earlier. Recommendations like adequate sleep, hormonal injections or change of diets are then suggested based on the result of the tests.

What if I cannot afford or access a doctor or health worker, what can I do?

No need to worry, I got you covered.

Following the steps listed below might be of great value to you BUT IF THEY DID NOT IMPROVE YOUR CONDITION, VISIT THE HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY.

[img][/img]

·Exercise regularly and get adequate sleep each day.

·Take vitamin B12 supplements or food/fruits rich in folate, example mango, orange, avocado, black eyed beans (the normal white beans with black patch that you know), Okra, cauliflower, carrot. They will help to boost your blood level.

·Avoid junks and eat healthy foods.

·Talking to friends and loved ones about how you feel or joining a support group will go a long way in reducing depression and anxiety.

·Finally, if the fatigue comes with a fever, sore throat and constant headache, I visit to a clinic for treatment of opportunistic infection is advisable.

HealthWhy You Must Know Your HIV Status Today. by 3Hopeblog(op):
Let me ask you a simple question: Have you bothered to think about HIV situation in Nigeria?

While you are thinking about it, let me ask you another one.

How many people do you think are living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria?

Let’s say 2 million people?

What!!! It is too much please. It should be less than that biko!

If that was your reaction, let me shock you small.

According to National Agency for Control of AIDS (NACA) 2015 report on HIV, MORE THAN 3.3 MILLION Nigerians living with HIV.

Yes! You heard me right, more than 3.3 million people and this number might be lower than the actual figure.

But that will be topic for another day.

Let me ask you another question?

Do you know your HIV status? If yes, congratulation.

But if it’s No, maybe it’s time to visit the nearest clinic and get tested.

I just want to share 2015 HIV data for Nigeria with you.

HealthOvercoming The Initial Shock Of Being HIV Positive by 3Hopeblog(op): 4:07pm On Mar 13, 2017
So you just confirmed you are HIV status and you feel it’s over for you. It feels like a death sentence has been handed over to you. You can’t stay for a second without thinking about it.

God! I’m going to die soon? Will I live a normal life again? How will I tell my loved ones about this?

Just stop for a minute and breathe slowly. I want you to know this:

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”

“Every day you live with HIV, you are a success”

Yes, that’s what I want you to bear in mind as you read through this article.
In this article, I will be sharing simple and effective steps on overcoming this initial shock you are experiencing. I can assure you that you will experience a mind shift that will make you realize you still have a wonderful life ahead.

Buckle up and get ready to conquer cool cool cool...

During the 20th anniversary of announcing his HIV status to the world, Magic Johnson was asked how he overcame the initial shock of knowing he is infected with HIV.

“I am a big believer in God, and I just prayed, and I just went out there. And I am not a guy who runs away from challenges; I meet challenges head-on. I am not a guy who stays down long. I have always been an upbeat person, so I just talked to myself and said, “Look, you’ve always been upbeat about everything; this is no different now.” And so I just went out there and did what Earvin Johnson should do and just shared with the world what has happened to me”

Accept your status and free your mind of any grudge towards yourself or another person.

This is the first step in moving on. Yes, it is not easy but this will make you focus on other important aspect of your life especially seeking for treatment.

You need to let go of the hatred you have for yourself and wholeheartedly accept your status. This is the number one advice by most HIV care and support medical experts. "Be honest with yourself," advises Angela Reynolds from the Terrence Higgins Trust (THT, a registered Charity Organization In England and wales). "You will have this for the rest of your life. But remember that although HIV is not curable, it is treatable."

Was your reckless past responsible for your infection? Forgive yourself. Was it the negligence of medical personnel? Forgive them. Was it that unfaithful partner despite your faithfulness? Forgive them and let go.

One good thing about Forgiveness is it frees you from worries and makes accepting your status easier. It gives clarity needed to think about your next action towards moving ahead. Living in denial hurts emotionally and prevents you from taking these actions that are beneficial.
Imagine if Magic Johnson continued in self-pity without taking an action? He would not have been this healthy even after more than 25 years of living with the virus.

Here is an affirmation that will help.

Use it daily especially when you feel down. “I forgive myself, a great future awaits me and going after it is what matters now”

Every battle in life is first won or lost in the mind. With time, you will get over the initial shock like many others before you. So forgive, get yourself together and focus on the wonderful future ahead.
