Wallade: That Sharia was even allowed in Nigeria in the first place was an aberration. It was excused by the government of Obasanjo maybe because the states that wanted it are predominantly Moslem States and they were spoiling for war with the Southwestern driven government.
Did you hear any clamor for Sharia in the South during Buhari's time? No!
Then you should understand that this move is politically motivated to destabilize the country or make government uncomfortable.
For me, the Sultan needs to thread cautiously with their intentions. It is not a popular demand in the South West even by the Moslems in South West. The Muslims are the ones who are even at the forefront of rejecting this nonsense. I actually don't blame him. There have been Muslims in Yoruba land before the jihad that brought Islam to the North. Eventually, the Sultan will be reminded of history and how he can't lead SW Muslims who have been Muslims before Islam got to the North. When the SW chooses its own Islamic hrspiritual leader, everybody would be alright. |

Aawizdom: The events of Hijab and Shariah arbitration have exposed the level of intolerance of Yoruba Christians to their Muslim folks. When you objectively analyse the events, it's a pure hatred mix with sheer ignorance shown by Southern Christian. Go and die. We are Yorubas first before anything. See your leaders crying on paper because we didn't allow you to surreptitiously take over the SW. That idiot who wrote the letter, is there Sharia in his own state? The ones who sent him on the foolish errand, how has Sharia developed their region? You used Ruga, failed. Now, you're using Sharia. If you are caught trying any Sharia in the SW, you will see shege. |

Wallade: The sponsors of the move to install Sharia courts and system of government in the Southwest is manifesting now.
The Sultan of Sokoto and the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs is part of the plot. That plot will fail. Sharia is unwanted in the Southwest. There are courts in the southWest that can handle civil and criminal offences hence there is no lace for the primitive Sharia rules and punishment.
Any body in the Southwest that is not comfortable xan go to the North where Sharia is practiced to stay and reside. Do you know that if Sharia is allowed in the SW, it means the Sultan will be making laws for Yorubas. Can the Ooni make laws for traditional worshippers in the North? |

gidgiddy: Ignorance
Seaport are rarely built by coast due to Ocean currents. They are usually built on inland waterways close to the coast.
Lagos Sea port is not by the coast, it is even behind Tarkwa bay
Onne port is not where near the coast.
Portharcourt wharf is not by the Sea.
All are inland. What matter is not if you have a coastline, but if you have waterways that are close to the coastline. The South East is so close the the coastline and has many waterways leading to the coast. The proposed Abia State port at Azumini is even closer to the Ocean than Portharcourt Wharf. The prosed port at Oguta in Imo is very close to the Ocean. Onitsha port wll one be fully operational, God willing.
Anyone who thinks the South-East is landlocked is someone who has never seen a map of Nigerian waterways, particularly the many that run from the South east to the ocean You are landlocked. For you to get to the sea, you need to pass through the SS. That's why you beggars always say SE SS because you want to steal access to the sea. If the South South denies you access to their territory, you will never get access to the little rivers in the East. |

Part of the problem we have in this country is that cave dwelling reprobates have somehow managed to find themselves in power, and are now busy spreading mediocrity and ineptitude across the whole country like the ebola and covid viruses. You come from a place where they celebrate gutters. The first traffic light in Abia state was less than 3 years ago. Julius Berger signboard was the only thing your Governor achieved in 100 days. Water fountain was pushed to the headline news in your place. But you are crying that a road was done in Lagos. You see, owobokiri, all your life, you're a veteran at losing. You are unfortunate by birth as is reflected in your posts. Continue being foolish like your ancestors. Your fathers were selling ice water when Lagos bridges were built. themosthigh: This is the problem with the Nigerian government. A NIGERIAN airline had a problem and what you do is immediately suspend operations, while United Airlines had a problem last week, and because it's American, they left it to continue operating. Is that the way to do things? Why stop all their planes from operating for 3 months because of a single non-fatal accident? Wetin concern tire blowing with 3 months suspension for an airline with 10 Planes ?
Will they do the same thing if the airline was owned by their tribesman? Has air peace been suspended during any of their various mishaps?
Even in the USA, Delta and United had issues earlier this month, yet the government did not disrupt business by banning them. They will end up destroying the Nigerian airline industry like they have destroyed everything else. That particular plane had problems last year and almost crashed. The former Sultan of Sokoto died in a plane crash. The lives of Northerners are very important and idiots like you would not be allowed to gamble with the Arewa lives. |
