nah just dislike things that are not open - not even usb? wat about bluetooth? then how do i
communicate with my existing hardware? besides would be afraid to disassemble one if i got it; so honestly where's the fun

which is better to get apple ipad or amazon kidle, i bet google will soon come up with an alternative

for reading? kindle is better; for other things ipad is FAR better - in short kindle is strictly for reading so comparing the two isn't really fair

The iPad isn't a computer.

i'll probably get one. The lack of multitasking may be a pain (until it's jailbroken), but there are sure to be tens of thousands of top notch apps on it.

It can provide 10 hours of video on a single charge. How many other consumer devices can churn that out?
If the rumours of $1 TV show are true, i can easily grab Heroes from the itunes store ad be completely up-to-date.
Plus i can copy my files (PDF, MS Word, Excel) and use as a portable second screen at work.

I'd say the ipad didnt live up to all the crazy hype, but it's still a fairly capable device. I'll get one
