When it comes to Python books for people with little or no programming experience I recommend:

Python_tutorial from Tutorials point. It is where you can learn Python from scratch. Their PDF book is free to download and I provided the link to download it in this post.
The book is based on Python version 2.X and there are no much projects to practice. It just teaches the basics of Python and if you are devoted you will learn Python version 2.X syntax quickly.

Fundamentals of Python: First Programs is another great book but it is still based on Python version 2.X. I prefer this book to Python_tutorial because it has projects you can practice. I recommend you read the two books side by side.

Starting Out with Python- Second Edition is for Python version 3.X. I recommend you start learning the latest version of Python version which is Python 3.6. This book is really great and I recommend you get it.

Automate the Boring Stuff with Python is a book by Al Sweigart. In Automate the Boring Stuff with Python, you’ll learn how to use Python to write programs that do in minutes what would take you hours to do by hand. It is a great book.

If you can Google and ask questions till it works you have 80% of programmer status. You can't do this job if your not ready to ask questions repeatedly to you understand the answer.

Most tutorials are junk and teach you way too much to fast.

If u do not know html/css. Start with that you can make a box with some text in it. Change color etc.

My lil sis wanted to get a WordPress blog. I told get the free WordPress first. Why ? Because I wanted her to understand limitations and once she got to realize the limits of.wordpress free. She knew she wanted.the hosted version and what she wanted to do with it.

Today she's plug-in and unplugging, changing css, communicAting with support and hiring devs off.fiverr.

Limitations are the best thing in life. Find a way to reach the limit as fast as you can and your good.

I would advise you to go to Udemy if you are on a tight budget.

if you are learning for hacking, you will have to eventually learn C.
There's no shortcut to it. Best way. Pay an experience python programmer to take you on an intensive crash course- mentor you. He's made all the mistakes you'll make and will guide u through. This is the best route.
You'll learn years worth of knowledge in a short time. But it will cost you. Pay the money, save the time.
I'm no python guy but that's what i would do.
2) Go the self taught route. do 10hrs/day for 3 months. Non stop. 1,000 hrs later. Evaluate.
Not for everybody. You've got to be a titan at self control.

3) go jejely 1-2 yrs - at your pace. When the bitterleaf (complexity and syntax) pass ur head, You chill out.
Eventually, things will begin to click. and ur subconscious will piece things together for you. drawback,
very time expensive. cheapest route money wise. Goood for procrastinators and goofer, who have a bull dog spirit that is a bit to lazy for its own good.
