HOLD ON, I SEE YOU

I see the heat of fire in your eyes
as your tears drop like raindrops,
men have wandered into your laps
that became a picnic as they inscribed
their graffiti on its walls

I see your pain, like a dimple in the clouds
I heard your sorrows among the congregation of birds
singing on the trees you climbed each time you hit climax

I know your tears has turned into a stone
Sinking into the deep rivers of time ago
I know you sit in that cubicle
teleporting into bleeding memories of yesterday
I know how you played the strings of lovelorn stories
that became a footnote for choirs
singing a dirge in a gloomy hall

Dive into this poetry
and learn the strength of great lines,
feel its rhythm along the river of free verses
as the waves flutters the spaces on the shores

Hold on to the moon and know what the night brings
just hold on, the sun is coming
to fetch you from this pool of tears
the day is coming with a bowl of light
drink to your fill and eat its fires

I hear the whispers of heaven echoing in your soul
keep the smile between the shelves of your wrinkles
because, the veil has broken down its walls and in you, I see you
