Reno Omokri, an aide to Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Jonathan has described as “ignorant” and “arrogant”, a statement on Friday by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina that Nigerians did not rise up against the Muhammadu Buhari administration when it increased the pump price of petrol from ₦87 to ₦145.

In a statement made available to SIGNAL on Friday, he said that the protests against Jonathan’s government’s increase of the pump price of petrol were sponsored and carried out by members of President Buhari’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and not dissatisfied Nigerian citizens as the likes of Adesina wanted the world to believe.

“First of all, it was not Nigerians that rose up again the Jonathan administration when that government increased the price of petrol on January 1, 2012. It was actually members of the All Progressive Congress who sponsored the protests.

“Nigerians have not so soon forgotten how Malam Nasir El-Rufai led other chieftains of the opposition to the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos, where they attracted crowds by inviting top musicians to perform and giving out free food and drinks.

“If anyone cares to Google the pictures of that event, they will see pictures of people who are currently on President Buhari’s media team directing ‘protesters’ at that event.

“To now pass that sponsored protest as a sign that Nigerians trust Buhari but did not trust Jonathan is another propaganda in the long line of lies and deceit that the APC has come to be known for”, the former President said.

According to Omokri, “the real reason Nigerians did not come out to protest against the fuel price hike by the Buhari administration’s from ₦87 to ₦145 was because of fear, pure and simple.”

“On December 15, 2015, the Nigerian Army, under President Muhammadu Buhari’s command, killed 347 unarmed Shiite men, women, children and infants and buried them in a mass grave as revealed by the panel of inquiry instituted by the Kaduna State government.

“The excuse given by the military for this massacre was that the Shiites had blocked a road during one of their procession and this allegedly affected a trip by the chief of army staff.

“After killing his followers and destroying their place of worship, Sheikh Ibrahim Zak Zaky, the spiritual leader of the Nigerian Shiite community, was illegally and unconstitutionally detained and has not been seen or heard of in public since December 15, 2015.

“So when the Buhari administration increased the pump price of petrol, Nigerians wisely reasoned that if the Buhari administration can kill 347 unarmed Shiite men, women, children and infants for blocking a road, it would be suicidal to give them an opportunity to do the same thing to them on a wider scale....

Reno Reno Reno

Bros why you know complete the story. Make we help you touch up the reasons why...

1. Nigeria is now militilarized with all the different operation code names; python dance, crocodile smile, tiger twerk, etc charged against any protest wether peaceful. This alone creates fear factor.

2. Why did Tubaba alias TuFace withdraw his planned protest. Intimidation by security outfit even when the planned protest is peaceful. See what happened to grandpa Charly boy with his mumu don do campaign. Was it not peaceful?

3. Challenge the government of the day and see if the likes of EFCC and co will not be on your tail. I.e Fani Kayode, etc

Mr, sorry, Pastor Reno pls come back to Nigeria and educate us more. Then I will confirm that you are the true son of your unfortunate father. Nigerians may be afraid but Biafran pigs and idiots are very brave. So, when are the Biafrans protesting so that the python can twerk again?

Buhari has driven out and buried scarcity of petroleum products for ever. No more queues and suffering for petroleum products and no more inflated subsidy which so called big men were using to looth the treasury.
