Governor Gbenga Daniels has called a meeting with non indigenes to be at peace with with the locals. He also proposed to allocate two positions in his cabinet to non-indigenous individuals. This is remarkable. Perhaps other states in the federation should follow suit. This might just be the solution to Nigeria's ethnic and religious problems.
What is your take on this, Nairalanders?

What we need is to redefine the terminologies indigene and non indigene.

How can you have lived your whole life in a place and then some people tell you that you have no right to be there.

The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ought to have thrown more light on this issue; unfortunately, it didn't. As it stands, every state knows who its indigenes and nonindigenes are.
Maybe, the next constitutional review would tackle this knotty issue. Untill then, where ever you are, know your status and live as such.
