Gudevening house my sister's 6weeks birds are not grown well. And she has been feeding them with top feed. Please house what is the solution.

Broilers??
What's the mortality rate Does she feed them well Is there red stool dropping

If she feeds them well ( non stop ...24 hours and they have light at night ...mind you...)........and low mortality...then she bought cockerel or local breed masked as broilers.

She shud keep feeding them continuously, they will grow. Also remember to vaccinate and give coccidiosis drugs and vitamins.

she said she vaccinated them no red droppings. Mortality rate 3 so far.

Cockerel... I think they are cockerels ....

They don't look like cockerel to me.

Or they where badly feed...or bad feed, if na disease, mortality would have been alarming

Please is there enough spacing? and are you sure she is not feeding them with grower because grower is not meant to be fed to broilers, let her feed them ad-libitum (in this sense feed them in the morning and also in the evening and also changing their water and also provide a light source).

These birds re owk fr six weeks, ur expectation is too high, and they re looking very healthy....weight the birds, if d average weight is less than 1.2kg then u cn say there js a problem

Please sirs how advisable is it to go into small scale egg production with 50 point of lay birds?

My questions are how old are the birds, how many are they,what type of feed are you giving them(grower mash,layer mash,broiler starter,broiler finisher),and have they at anytime time come down with any disease and if yes what are the symptoms.please measure their weight randomly.from there we would know what happened to them. Thanks

@envicprints instead of going for 50 birds why not go for 100 or 200 coz its a game of numbers the more the number of your birds the more the profits.also try to go for POC or POL instead of DOC because you haven't handled it before

sir since I have not tried it before I am scared of investing large so I don't loose lots of money.

You won't have any problem if you follow your programs and all necessary vaccines and drugs are giving to them.

am thinking of buying point of lay. How do I know their program of drugs left.

They would have given all the drugs and vaccines before 16weeks but still ask from where you are buying them if they have given them 3 in 1 vaccine(ND+IB+EDS).
