Please how do I connect my computer to the internet using my Nokia phone as modem through bluetooth without using the PC suite? What should be the username, password and dialling number?
Am using vista OS and zain network.

Follow these steps below to create DialUp internet connection inside Windows Vista.

1. Click Start and choose Connect To,
2. In new open window on bottom of window you will see “Set up a connection or network", click on it,
3. Now choose "Connect to internet to the internet and click next,
4. Click on Dial-Up,
5. Feel up all information which you thinks are necessary for you (dial-up phone number, user name, password),
6. When you feel all information click on Connect.


Note: dail-up number should be *99# . I don't use zain and so can't help you with user name and password part.

Yeah I have done that but it still not connecting. I think the problem may lies with the username and password. Am not sure about them

use the PC suite to create it and simply edit it after, that'll make things easier. . .

username and password are 'wap'

p.s. if u are using internet.ng.zain.com as your APN then u can use 'internet' in both places. . .haven't connected without PC suite in a while so i'm not really sure sha. . .i'll be online for a couple of mins, so i'll try to help it u have any issues

@netotse. Nokia E63 phones are sold without the USB cable. The pc suite is stored in the phone memory, and for you to use the suite you have to get the USB cable. I don't have the cable so establishing a bluetooth connection is the choice I have.

so what you need to do is connect your phone and computer via bluetooth, copy out your pc suite and install it, can you connect them together with bluetooth?

If u try this and you have driver issues then, Can u locate the pc suite installation files on your phone? And send it to your computer?

what i meant was, if you're scrolling through your phone normally, can you locate the installation files for the PC suite? if you can do that, then it should be possible to go to options and send it to the PC via bluetooth. . .do u get?

Problem solved. I had to download the PC suite software with my phone and then transfered to my PC. The PC suite already had the Zain parameters, so setting up the connection was smooth. But unfortunatelly the connection with the PC was very slow compared with the faster speed using the phone itself. I dont know if it was because I used bluetooth to connect the two devices.

happy 4 u. its not because u used bluetooth, youre browsing with your pc which means transfer/receive of larger data at a given speed limit compared to your phone at the same speed limit.
