Standing back to look at a problem objectively often seems less important most of the time. But taking an objective stance seems also to have a calming effect, as it help people to see or view things as they really are, and if you like, from a different perspective, neutral position.

This is what might be called the stand point of view of objective principle. In the first place it tends to help to remove emotion or decrease it as it allow one to think more rationally and reflect in the process.
