Mushroom farming is viable for everyone especially those (who generally don't step out of their home to work) to earn a decent #10,000 or more per day.
Mushroom cultivation doesn't need huge investment in land or anything.

Some space in your home can be dedicated for this and grow as little as 5kg per day and at #2000 selling price, you can earn #10,000 per day (Considering the inputs like sawdust, dried straw, dried cassava peel, dried banana leaves, water etc are available for free)
Mushroom cultivation is more profitable in City than in Villages if someone can afford small room with multiple racks or shelf.

Inputs like supplements, lime, nylon will not cost more than akara money Considering the selling cost at #2000/kg you can make a decent #10,000 per day (Demand is much more, supply is very very less, people are ready to afford more price for fresh produce, high networth people include it in their daily diet because of its high protein and zero cholestrol).

The mushroom revolution is spreading like wildfire, best time to position your self is now.

Mushroom farming is leading the revolution of mushroom cultivation and consumption in Nigeria.

The earlier you position your self the better.

For the training, farm setup, spawn and every other inputs.

GROWING MUSHROOMS FOR PROFIT ON A PART-TIME BASIS (PART 2)

In cities like Lagos where everyone is said to be busy, it might be a bit difficult to want to engage ordinarily in farming as a second income source.

A lot of factors could discourage one. From availablility of land to funds to seasons to a host of other related issues.

Growing mushrooms on the other hand as a second income source can be done even in the smallest spaces with little to no resources but one thing is truly needed DILLIGENCE.

POINTS TO NOTE WITH MUSHROOM FARMING.

1. Part-time Mushroom farming can be done in a small space.

2. Land or Open spaces for farming does not matter neither does access to a large body of water.

3. Materials for Cultivation are mainly waste products from other Agricultural process.

4. Quick maturity periods usually 4 to 8 weeks.

5. Does not depend on Seasonal changes.

6. Multiple harvest times for a single growth batch or cycle.

7. Per square ft. area multiple harvests is assured. For example, from a 500 square foot room or 46.5metresquare growing room harvest could be around 12 pounds or 5.443kg of mushroom.

Now these figures depend on how well managed your spaces are and how well utilised your spaces are.

Now these are not constant figures, they depend largely on a couple of other factors like how strong your spawn strength is, how well watered your bags are during fruiting and a host of other factors.

Farming mushrooms part-time is arguably one of the really beneficial side investments to embark on.

The bonus for you is with the rise of health consciousness in our society, people are more willing and happy to buy products or foods that help with weight loss, controlling diabetes and hypertension and a host of other health issues.

How many people are willing to start the part-time farming experience?

[quote author=Eseneyen post=65277872]MUSHROOM FARMING IN NIGERIA
Secrets Revealed.....
Till date,we have over 1million species of mushrooms worldwide, out of which 50,000 species are cultivated for commercial purposes.
Oyster white mushroom is our main focus now. White oyster mushrooms is edible and also medicinal, and the demand for this type of mushroom is overwhelming in Nigeria and we produced only 1% in Nigeria, so we need to tap into this great opportunities that abound in oyster mushroom production now.

SIMPLE ANALYSIS FOR MUSHROOM FARMING IN NIGERIA. Do you know that if you start a 10ft X 10ft 500 small bags of mushroom farm can rake in a whopping sum of about #5,000,000 in a year, yes, you read aright # 5m plus in a year.
It is expected that each bag will produce 3KG of mushroom in three months and a kilogram of mushroom is sold for between #1,000 and #2000. Let's say #1,000. That means the 500 small bags will produce #1,500Kg in three months multiply by #1,000, that is #1,500,000 (#1.5m in three months) times 4 in a year gives #6,000,000 (# 6m ).Is that not amazing?
How much will it cost you to make this amount? Most of the materials inputs are waste products that are readily available in your surroundings, with less than 15,000 Naira you can make this much.'So, what are you waiting for? Start your own MUSHROOM farming now, get trained free.
We will link you with ready made market that will be begging you to sell for them.
