This happened to me in the U.K. I applied for a job and before I did any work, my “employer” paid £10,000 into my account and asked me to take 10% and send the rest to Russia. I immediately contacted the police and my bank and asked the bank to reverse the transfer. So because I highlighted the problem before the bank did, I didn’t get any penalties. I’m not sure how it works in Nigeria, but you might need to visit the bank and sit down with your account manager to discuss what happened and how the money ended up in your account. |
