Beachlife i'm really disappointed with your comment. How can you say Nigeria's ideal population is around 50 million. Then where is the telecom raking money from when a lot of people aren't still on the internet?.Where is Indomie raking billions from?.Where is Dangote Raking billions from? Etc...That your plan for ethnic groups to come together and develop themselves won't work. It's like you have forgotten that there are Igbos in Benue,Ijaws in Ondo,Urhobo in Bayelsa etc.

I bet if you walk the length and breath of that road you will not see one single roadside bin for disposal of rubbish! I can tell you for free that if the streets of London or Dubai were left unswept for same length of time as our roads, they would be just as unsightly!

Gov't is not just for fancy! It's their job to make and enforce sanitary laws, as well as keep our streets clean given all the taxes, rates and levies they collect!

Cursed Abia miscreant. Abia thread has been opened for but you still have nothing to show except filth and bad roads and sharing of kerosene.

When shall you face your dead Abia state. Abia state is the worst state in Nigeria but you are not bothered . Tufia

My fervent prayer is that they remember and seriously understand that landscaping is the ONLY DIFFERENCE between a local looking environment compared to something that looks of international standard you can find in Europe, USA or even Abuja.

Already, there doesn't seem to be enough space in the median for proper landscaping with trees to change the ambiance of the place and make it serene with very little dust flying all over the place.

My prayer is that they use the remaining space to make that environment up to international or even good African city standard.

If they can manage to have every street in the Awka millennium city to have enough flowers & trees around the walkway like the picture below, they would achieved one of the best live able piece of estate in Nigeria. If not, it will end up as another hype that isn't any better than 33 housing estate Onitsha.

My fear is that our people often think a house made from marble but in a dusty desert-like environment is somehow better than a moderate house in a lush green well manicured environment. It's just a mindset thing. We must begin to appreciate the critical importance of flowers, trees and grass in making an environment conducive and beautiful. Just as we see in developed countries.

BeachLife:
I don't want to come back to this thread , I've already made my points . I'll appreciate if you just pass if our reasoning don't align.
That is baseless talk. You talked about wanting Nigeria to purchase Niger and Cameroon lands and expel the natives. does that make any sense ? I'm American, would you like the United States to purchase your Urhobo land or Nigerian lands and expel everyone and build a military base there ?
Africa(Igboland,Calabar,Yorubaland,Zulu,Tswanaland(Botswana),etc.) is an ethnic continent like Europe(Swedes,Irish,Welsh,Scottish, etc.) and Asia. All unity should be done on their own terms ,not forcefully colonized and merged . All ethnic nations should have autonomy and control of their resources ,economy and development . with that,it does't matter if the entire African regions are countries with each autonomous ethnic nation as states. Every one will get along and corporate with such a fair system . It doesn't mean you should not mingle with others or you can't relocate to any state of choice . In fact, one of the reasons for the ethnic conflicts, bigotry, complaints and calls for secession is simply because of the current system which is felt to be unjust and imbalanced. Do Swedes hate or fight with Scottish? Do Irish hate or fight with Lithuanians? Try lumping them in one unitary system country and see what happens.
This is my last comment on this thread.
That's good.
