So glad to be back.. I'm So Sorry for leaving abruptly. I have so much goodies for you guys.

What I want for this thread is to share tutorials and tips on everything womenswear.
If a woman is wearing it, we are learning how to sew and make it.

So starting from today, we will be going to the basics of pattern making and learning everything we can.

I also have a YouTube channel where I upload pattern making videos. I will be putting them up here as far as we are allowed to..

What exactly is pattern drafting..

Pattern drafting is the design process that involves taking measurements from either a person's body or a dress form, and transferring the measurements unto paper using pencils, rulers, tape rule, and ultimately creating a paper pattern of the body.

This paper pattern is what you will place on paper to cut out and sew.

The pictures below are of dresses I have made using patterns I created

Pattern draping involves pining fabrics to a dress form and creating a design

Flat pattern making on the other hand means using what you have drafted e.g a skirt pattern, trouser pattern to create a new design.

For example, look at this picture below, a skirt pattern has been designed to create a new pattern.. This is called flat pattern making
