NOT the magical way most people think of them. The concept of a curse derives from the fact that people realized that some people seemed controlled by an external force. They tried to explain this phenomena as a magical "curse." IFA: Orisa Spirituality explains that it is not a curse, instead it is a mental virus. This mental virus derives from social programming that are designed to encourage you to behave in a way detrimental to yourself.

Certainly, mainstream society can encourage mental-viruses (especially thru media programming), but the strength of a mental-virus comes from your local community and family. While mainstream society can promote the virus, it is your local community/family that must solidify it for it to take root.

Most mental-viruses thrive because many people refuse to acknowledge that the people they trusted most (their family and local neighborhood) are the ones that implanted the mental-virus.

This post is not intended to insult your family, but to make you aware of how mental-viruses are passed. They are not passed from strangers. It requires introduction from someone a child trusts for the mental-virus to truly take root in their mind and grow.

The reason we must address how mental-viruses are passed is because only then can we know what measures to take to stop its spread.

While this is bad news because it makes you realize that your neighborhood and family are the reason you are infected with the Eurocentric-Memetic Virus, the good news is that now that you know it is passed on this way, YOU CAN STOP it from spreading to your children

Vaxx, hey i was thinking about "curse" yesterday. Didnt realized you had a thread on that already.
Form your OP are you saying a babalawo cannot influence someones life negatively?
Are you saying a mom cannot curse her son?
Or to sum it up, do you mean any ordinary verbal curse has no effect on the victim? Please elaborate. Thank you. Hope your doing fine.

babalawo or mom can influence curse on their victim negatively, but not in a magical way that people have been programmed to believe.

It is called nocebo effect. our mind is very sensitive thaf it can influence our thought and action to have both positives and negatives consequences. For example by placebo effect, if we think we'll heal by taking a pill that contains only water, we will heal.

But the nocebo effect is exactly the opposite. If we think something bad it's gonna happen because someone "cursed" us, we will be able to have real symptoms of real illness.

So actually it is not babalawo spell or mom cursed that magically work but our programmed mind.

It is advisable to unshackle ourself from this ignorance so that it does not spread to our children.

Am fine. Thanks you.

Thank you for the response..not that i believe that crap anyway. You just confirmed my suspicions. You know I've witnessed situations where a priest or prophet would say one should beg his or her dad, mum, or some relatives for forgiveness before the person can move forward in life.. I guess it all boils down to the individual. Thank you once again.

A curse is just a negative prayer.

Sometimes it involves people slaughtering animals and doing rituals in combination with negative prayers - which is called witchcraft ... There are people who make a living out of this ... In Africa, they advertise for their services.

A curse can also be used to refer to bad luck. Or bad consequences of an action. For example, African society believe that hitting your parents will bring a curse on you. What will happen is that all the demons around you will conspire to teach you a lesson. This process of "learning" can be referred to as a curse because it is a negative experience.

Yes curses are real.

I'm in Chosen Crusade and more than 2 people have testified how they were suffering curses. They went to many churches and prophetess to no avail until they came to Chosen. Pastor of Chosen prayed for them and their ugly experiences ceased.
