Pastors don't want sheep no more
They want some ass, young kids
Jesus' manger, little angels
That boy will know innocence no more

The church has left Jesus hanging,
The mosque has left Mohammed stranded,
The gods of the land survive on ignorance,
Conscience shall live no more.

Independent of conscience, the mind roams wild
Like an animal, every pleasure must be fulfilled,
Every wine drunk, every cash spent
We shall spray the money, until it lasts no more.

Where God dies, the temples become larger,
Bigger, greater, the men of God prosper
As evil rises, they point to God
Pray, pray ,pray, till you see your enemies no more.

Independence?
Colonized by the British, americanized by TV
Rice from Chinese farmers, tech from ogbodo oyigbo,
Would we survive, if the rest of the earth were no more?

Nigeria- Independence yet still "IN Dependence" undecided

Beautiful piece. I hope the mods find it worthy of the front Page instead of silly news like " Independence Day: Curvy Lady Rocks Nude Body Painting Of Davido & Burna Boy's Faces".

isn't it funny that the op deemed it fit not to ascribe any blame to the politicians who've ruined this country, but blames religion for all the woes of the country undecided

because that is we're it stated from......if those heading the religious body could speak the truth for once and sing less of those politicians, thing will change, instead they give them sit at the front
