All Golf III GTI 8 and 16V models come with Plus-running gear, which in layman's terms means they have 5-stud wheels as standard, with 15" wheels as a minimum. This is because the GTI models have larger front brake discs, 280 / 288mm, as opposed to the basic models that have 239 / 256mm. They also have rear disc brakes as standard.

Your car has 239mm front discs, and drum brakes at the rear with 14" steel wheels.

Are you still saying your Golf III is a GTI?

bet the guy selling or replying my mail concering as pa my GTI question knows next to nothing about the car or what GTI means.or maybe he thinks all Nl are novice or fools.thanks sienna.the GTI models are unique and have "GTI edition" on them
