As an Ijaw from Bayelsa they're lots of Beliefs but lemme say a few . You don't take a New Born Baby to a forest. The Forest will still its Face and give it a different face. . You don't about somebody's name in the Forest. Spirits might steal the Name. You don't flog a child with a Broom. If you hear your name in a quite place like a forest you don't answer until you're sure its not death calling you. You don't go to the Forest when a close family member or a town person dies.( I've done this lots of times but on a particular day we heard cries in the Forest. |
