You are sure a 15k - 18k probably untrained GSD will successfully ward off an attack if there is another one? We may suggest you invest in a GSD with known drive, bite force and possibly some guard training. May get you better results.

My advice is for you to relax, and get to know a bit about dog's 1st, then you can decide on what to buy and how to care for it.
