He speaks on his life and career Some say that you are arrogant. How true is this? I'm not arrogant or snobbish like many believe and you would find out that in my first album, I said Timaya is hot like fire and people wondered where the fire in me is. I only have the arrogant swagger look. Sometimes, I look hard on purpose so people will not take me for a ride. So, before you meet me, you already have an impression that I'm tough but really, I'm very friendly, I could even get too playful. Can you tell us about your new baby? I wanted to have a baby by Barbara because she is my kind of woman; the kind of woman I'd like to spend the rest of my life with and this was why I decided from the outset that I'd go the whole hog with her. But she knows that marriage is not something we will dabble into now. Why did you decide to christen your daughter, Emmanuella Perere Timaya and not Odom? I'm building my own dynasty which is why my baby and the other ones that would come after her would bear Timaya as their surname not Odom. But what about marriage? Marriage comes with a lot of responsibilities which are beyond financial or material things. God has blessed me with everything a man needs to have a successful married life and you can bet that Emmanuella and Barbara will get the best of everything money can buy but personally, I don't feel ready for marriage. What is your take on the Nigerian music industry? The music industry is growing biggerby the day and very soon, indolent artistes would be swept to the background. I don't want to be a yesterday star; neither do I want to end up being a fleeting star, I want to continue being relevant. That is why I am putting everything into music and God is blessing the work of my hands. Tell us about your new effort Well, it is called Upgrade and it is myfourth album and like I said, I'm putting my everything into the work to ensure that I remain relevant and I'm also grateful to God for blessing my handwork. In the album, you have the popular single, 'Shake up your Bum Bum' amongst other songs. It's a totally new brand and new one from Timaya. What about the new look? Well, it's something I just decided to do after wearing the dreadlocks for several years. I decided to put up a new look and show another side of me to the public in general. The newlook would be on for a long time. http://gossiptone..com/2012/08/i-am-not-arrogant-timaya.html |

The lady (pictured above) who hails from Katsina-Ala in Benue state told journalists at Kano state Police headquarters that she transferred the aggression she had for her ex-husband to the innocent child. “I wanted to kill him to bury the memory of his father because each time I see him, he reminds me of his father’s wickedness to me,” she said. According to the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, Joy on 21 July at Sabuwar Abuja Quarters, Kano, northwest Nigeria used a knife and stabbed her son on his stomach, bursting the intestines. The boss who raised alarm over the spate of rape involving teenagers in the state said his Command has resolved to ensure prosecution of rapists in the state and advised parents to keep watchful eyes on their children. He revealed that on 17 July, Abubakar Ya’u, 20, of Jama’ar Ladan in Minjibir Local Government Area lured a six year old girl into his room and raped her. http://gossiptone..com/2012/08/an-11-year-old-nigerian-boy-is-battling.html |

Doctors at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh removed the tumor Wednesday. Hospital spokeswoman Susan Manko says The Great Khali, whose real name is Dalip Singh, is recovering well and is expected to be released over the weekend. The surgical staff says the tumor caused the production of excessive amounts of growth hormone, leading to Singh to grow to 7-foot-1 and 347 pounds. Failure to treat the problem can lead to cardiovascular problems. Wrestling star Andre the Giant, who died of congestive heart failure in 1993, had the same condition. Singh joined WWE in 2006 and earned the World Heavyweight Champion belt the following year. http://gossiptone..com/2012/07/wrestler-great-khali-undergoes-gland.html |
https://cache.jezebel.com/assets/images/39/2011/10/xlarge_crime.jpg Ameen Abubakar, 35, of Kurmin Mashi Quarters, Kaduna, was on Friday arraigned before a Kaduna Sharia Court for allegedly kidnapping his three-year-old son, Khalifa. The complainant, Maryam Abubakar, of the same address, told the court that Abubakar, her former husband, had asked her to spend 40 days at her parents’ house after putting to bed. She further told the court that Abubakar had not visited or sent any money for her upkeep. “The only thing I received from him was a divorce letter without a reason,” she said. Maryam said that after the divorce, she discovered that Khalifa was missing and when the matter was investigated by the police, he was found in his father’s custody. Counsel to the complainant, Lydia Izan, said that it was the responsibility of the father to take care of his child and urged the court to direct him to refund what is due to the mother. Counsel to the accused, Sani Sanusi, however, argued that the allegation was baseless. “The father has been taking care of his child within his capacity as a tailor and he cannot carry responsibilities beyond his earnings,’’ he said. Sanusi added that the complainant was making demands that were beyond the capacity of her former husband and urged the court to strike out the case as there was no provision in Sharia Law that says “we should feed our children with what we don’t have’’. Sanusi further demanded the sum of N50, 000 compensation for time wasted. The judge, Usman Abubakar, said that the child should be brought to the court alongside three witnesses from both parties before delivering judgment in the case and adjourned the case to August 31. http://gossiptone..com/2012/07/man-in-court-for-kidnaping-his-own-son.html |
