I like the fact they were handcuffed like someone.... |
When the whole saga of Davido and Sophie was on going I wondered why Dele Momodu meddled in their business and carried it as though it was his personal issues. From the days of Nadeco and the fact of his trendsetting with OVATION. We laud these achievements however his latest step of medling in what's going on with "awon omode yi" (kids) has brought him in as a character in a song which, if it becomes a hit that's what the name Momodu will be know for in years to come. And the whole Africa will be singing along. Quite an unfortunate saga. I hope as elders we know where to draw the line when our kids are playing in public |

A former Divisional Police Officer, Segun Fabunmi, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the killing of one Ademola Ade in Lagos during the January 2012 protest against the removal of fuel subsidy by former President Goodluck Jonathan. Ade, a fashion designer, had been shot dead at about 9am on January 9, 2012 by Fabunmi, who was the then DPO in charge of Pen Cinema Police Station, Agege, Lagos. The victim was said to have been shot dead when Fabunmi led a patrol team comprising five junior officers to Yaya-Abatan and Abeokuta Streets around Ogba area of Lagos. http://www.punchng.com/dpo-gets-10-years-for-killing-subsidy-protester/ |

“I do not regard this as an arrest. If you are invited by the EFCC that is not the same thing as an arrest. We got this information through a mere phone call. There is no warrant of arrest and as a well-respected obedient nationalist, Chief Dokpesi decided to go and answer the invitation,” he said. http://www.channelstv.com/2015/12/01/efcc-arrests-former-daar-communications-chairman-raymond-dokpesi/ |

Buhari has not even started Biafra has started protesting .Make una no worry.....u shall all be dealt with at the appropriate time |
Faleke should just withdraw his case. Consolidate with this chap and play the politics of being the Deputy. This is a brilliant decision by APC. Audu's son can be brought into the the government at some level. He need to start playing politics and understand the intricacies therein. Nice job APC |
Name....secession |
Me salivate ke....its for the current t homeless of which many of u will still be a part of |
I have always believed strongly that anybody that feels cheated in any union should be allowed to make a decision either to stay or leave. For one, I know so many Ibos that will not want to be part of any Biafra agitation and wouldn't want the unity of Nigeria to be questioned. However, for those of us that feel our major cities are already over populated, I just feel we should take time out and reflect life after Biafra has been declared a Republic(or whatever), what area do you think the government of the southwest Nigeria to concentrate on first.....for me first and foremost we should count ourselves 2nd and most importantly is Housing for all. We should ensure every citizen of the southwest or anyone living in the southwest and doing business has a place to lay at night. Rent cap should be placed in different areas around town. Lekki, Ikoyi, ajah, ikeja and other places should have a rent cap that shouldnt exceed too much from what the government charges the Landlord anually. Please feel free to add yours for a better Southwest Nigeria (post ipob) |
How I wish to have my lagos back when behafria is achieved |
Joy1706:For |
Joy1706:We r in d same predicament. I give head for Africa and my wife don't want non of that. For her to even give that's a nono. It's unfortunate how that guilt just walks away and most times I just knock my sef back. Its dangerous to have just one partner b4 feelings start getting into it. |
cooker:She has no reason to cheat. Except for oju kokoro. The only reason why there is someone out there is because she sometimes (alot of times) doesn't feel like it maybe cos she is tayad or any of those excuses and some one out there is just to compliment her short coming. I will not flaunt it in front of her at all. |
royalpearl80:D question is how often do you tell him u r tayad? Or you don't want to. That's if u guys are even married yet |
Jollyjoy:U can be sure i have tried and it always leads to argument. I wont stop trying tho. Blive me I don't even store their number...just bam and go. Very private ush |
This is a question for all to ponder on; Leave all your biases and ur religious justification and let's face the real world we are in. For all my single men never be cajoled to thinking when u get married ur babe will spread that leg d way she does now on request (married men can attest to this). Before my wife n I got married the issue of sex never came up we were so compatible everytime we wanted we had it. She was even learning to give head and it didnt seem like a problem cos I was willing to teach. Fast forward to now we r married.....hmmmm! The idea of Mouth Gig is a forgone story, she has said her own, she doesn't like it and it's somewhat degrades a lady (oboi my eye open wide, like I have just been scammed) the things I hear now during sex is..."it's hurting", "I'm doin this because of you" "can't you just hold me", "must it be tonight?". I leave the woman as I don't want to seem pushy. Sometimes I talk my way thru, buy gifts n all but when I stay in my closet alone....I just know I have been scammed. What next do I do not to hurt her? There is a girl down the road, at work, social gathering etc that is liking the guy...and the girl knows I'm married, but just for the spirit of adventure and the small financial gains she throws jab at me, (me wey konji wan finish). I take it up from there...we talk exchange numbers she only has my watsapp contact and shit starts happening. At the end of the day I am satisfied I get home my wife puts up an excuse and it's fine by me and everybody moves on happily. Don't crucify ursef with what d Lord says "we all know" and ask for his grace. Ladies what do you think about this situation. Married men I know u r all having a situation like this so chill n read. Single men...just pray say this kind thing no hit u cos u can never preempt it. |
Foolish is ur name |
omolami:E dey pain u......ur last hope of relevance is gone. Ekweremadu shall be removed |
emmydeep:Oga stop adding south south to ur rant....it is the south east that has lost in this case. Head or tail Amechi is SS so they don't lose anything. He is their son they will embrace him and forgive him las last. What wil be left for SE? Now they have pulled out the plug from their last hope of relevance in this administration. |

U for put baba iyabo drinking garri in this pic |
Who told you he wasn't docked? Ur oga was ducked....let him face his charges and be removed gracefully |
All these are propaganda by the Senate president. I am 100% sure he planted this news in d paper to gain public sympathy. Shebi he is sure he didn't commit any offence and has pleaded not guilty he should go and face his charges. Saraki ur days are numbered and u know it |
Ilekeh:Jonathans wife built a 5 star Hotel Sir |
U can't even see a gap in the CV. When did he school finish then started chartering again then started working . Its like he did all of them concurrently. Nice one for him. Quite an impressive CV. I'm sure Aganga had something similar but was working for someone that is not so much of a leader. Let's see where this CV takes us as a nation. If they don't divest this economy from oil they are all failures. |
INTROVERT:ODE |
It is well settled that President Muhammadu Buhari sent a list containing 21 names of his Nominee for Ministerial appointment to the Senate President, Dr. Olubukola Abubukar Saraki, in compliance with Section 147 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) for confirmation of appointment as Ministers of the Government of the Federation. Since then the media is awash with stories and speculation on the procedure the Senate intends to adopt in carrying out its constitutional responsibility. However because of the intense speculation and the interest this very important function of the Senate has generated there has been an avalanche of opinion expressed both in the print and social media whether the Senate is actually supposed to screen or confirm the Ministerial Nominees that has left many Nigerians confused on what the Senate is actually supposed to do. Also because of the many petitions that were sent to the Senate by some people to the nomination of some of the Nominees containing allegations of criminality and corruption some people think that the Senate is going to subject some of the Nominees to intense screening in order to determine the propriety or otherwise of the allegations made against some of the Nominees. The pertinent question is: Is the Senate supposed to screen or confirm the Ministerial Nominees? To answer this poser or question, it will be necessary to read through Section 147 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) to see whether or not the Draftsmen of the Constitution intend the Senate to screen or simply confirm Nominees put forward by the President. A cursory perusal of Section 147 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) reveals that no where did the writers used the word “ screening” to describe what the Senate is required to do when the President transmits a list of those he has nominated as Ministers of the Government of the Federation. It is clear as the crystal that the writers of Section 147 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) used the word “confirmation” not “screening”. I submit without fear of contradiction that there is absolute and clear distinction between the word “confirmation” and “screening”. The Drafts men of the Constitution did not define the meaning of the word “confirmation”, so there shall be a recourse or call in aid to the dictionary meaning of the word in order to discover the intention of the Drafts men of the Constitution. The Encarta Dictionary defines the word “screening” thus: inspection, assessment, vetting, investigation, examination and inspection. On the other hand, the Encarta dictionary defines the word “confirmation” thus: verification, substantiation, authentication, evidence, affirmation validation, authorization, approval, sanction, endorsement, ratification. It goes without saying that from the above there is a world of difference between the word ‘screening’ and ‘confirmation’. The Drafts men/writers of Section 147 (1) of the Constitution deliberately choose the word confirmation rather than screening. We cannot import into Section 147 (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) what the writers never contemplated. One of the canons of the principle of statutory or constitutional interpretation is that words used in a statute or the Constitution must be given their ordinary or natural meaning in order to infer the intention of the legislature that enacted the statute or the writers of such a Constitution. Undoubtedly the President is the Chief Executive of the Federation and the Head of Government. Accordingly, by the Constitution, the President is required to make nominations of those he considers worthy of appointment as Ministers of the Government of the Federation. However, by Section 147 (3) of the Constitution such nomination by the President for Ministerial appointment must be confirmed by the Senate. For the purpose of clarity, it is necessary to reproduce Section 147 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria thus: ”Any appointment to the office of Minister of the Government of the Federation shall, if the nomination of any person to such office is confirmed by the Senate, be made by the President. I do not therefore think that it is in the purview of the Senate to investigate a Petition against of the Nominees. The Senate is not an investigating body or even a Court of Law. If there is any Petition against any of the Nominees, the Senate is required to send such Petition to the Police, EFCC, ICPC or CCB for investigation. Also where a criminal imputation is made against any of Nominees by any petitioner such an allegation must first be investigated and the nominee charged before a Court of competent jurisdiction, it is certainly not the business of the Senate to constitute itself into a Court to hear and determine such criminal allegation made against any nominee in a Petition. There is division and separation of powers inherent in the Constitution. The Senate as a part of the National Assembly is vested with the power primarily to make laws. It is the judicial branch of government that is conferred with the power to interpret the law. It will therefore constitute an infringement of the Constitution for the Senate to dabble into the sphere that is outside the province of the power conferred on it by the Constitution under the guise of confirmation of those nominated for appointment as Ministers of the Government of the Federation. So.....the Senate is only expected to check their CV ask a few questions to check capacity and confirm. Except in established cases of fraud or other can the Senate refuse to confirm anyone https://www.today.ng/blog/23853/the-senate-has-no-power-to-screen-ministers-but-confirm-them/ |
The harsh statement was signed by Sunday Dare, the chief of staff and media Adviser to the APC leader. The statement argued that the report by The Sun was an “execrable lie”. It also dismissed aallegations that Tinubu is under surveillance. “Too mischievous yet cowardly for their own good, the yarn-spinners at the SUN neglect to precisely state what terrible thing they believe Tinubu to have done. This ambiguity is in part purposeful; their villainy seeks to place the innocent on edge and to cause those who must work together if the nation is to progress to begin to doubt the bona fides of each other. With such a story, they hope to break the walls of confidence so that they may kindle mutual animus between the President and Tinubu. By getting the two to fight and weaken each other, they may then swoop down to destroy both. “If this nation is to have more than a fleeting chance of escaping the quagmire into which years of PDP misrule have taken us, we cannot allow these regressive elements to deploy their cunning tricks to divide and pit progressive against progressive,” the statement said. Read the rest of the statement below: Here, I will do those who inhabit the shadows of untruth a favor. I will state explicitly what they hoped to get the reader to infer. Their claim is that Tinubu has joined with Saraki to scuttle the President’s ministerial nominations. They have misfired. Their wrong is a great wrong. Like the rest of us, Asiwaju Tinubu waited for the President to select his cabinet. The majority of the selections have been made. There is nothing to do but congratulate the appointees and pray for them. Their responsibilities are vast, the future of the nation now rests on their shoulders. The challenges before them are manifold and daunting. Those who want the best for Nigeria can only hope that these people succeed. The only intervention that Asiwaju Tinubu would make is one of encouragement. He would charge them to remain true to the progressive vision of the party and our President. None should allow themselves to be enticed to join league with those who would cast us back into the old mould of PDP governance: to Pilfer, Destroy and Pillage. Instead they should cohere faithfully to the enlightened programs and promises made by our party and this government. Other than voice this encouragement, Bola Tinubu will never say a negative word or lift a finger to forestall anyone’s approval before the Senate. For the record, the Buhari Presidency was brought to life by the votes of millions of Nigerians who desire change. Such a collective and historic achievement is not one that anyone who worked to bring it to life would easily seek to deconstruct. This government is for the betterment of the people and the national purpose is bigger and more important that any individual’s desires. In our journey to national betterment, plans and policies will be made, then amended. Mistakes will occur and then corrected. Achievements will be had and replicated. Through it all, Asiwaju will remain true to the progressive ideals that fuelled the creation of the APC. He has devoted his political life to achieve what has been achieved. His heart is too much of the people and his mind too fixed on establishing a positive historic legacy to suffer such a cynical policy or engage in the destructive pettiness of which he is accused. He would not toss aside a lifetime’s labor because of an alleged slight and certainly would not join with Senator Saraki in stymying this government which may just be the nation’s last best chance to salvage itself. Given the exigencies of his position, President Buhari is placed in an unenviable position to some degree. The duties of his office give him no choice; necessity constrains him, requiring that he discourse with Senator Saraki. As party leader, Asiwaju is free of such constraints. On these matters, I know where Asiwaju Tinubu stands. He remains glued to the party decision that the manner by which Saraki captured his current seat travestied party discipline. It was a crass act of disloyalty showing that Saraki may have joined the APC on paper but has remained true to the malpractices and wrong aims of the reactionary PDP in his soul. The alleged conspiracy is a figment. It takes at least two people to make a conspiracy. There has been no substantive communication between Asiwaju and Saraki since the latter decided to foul the integrity of the Senate and the party. To be truthful, I don’t think Saraki would care to hear what Asiwaju would have to say to him. He would admonish the Senator to treat the nomination process with dispatch, justice, fairness, transparency, and most of all with the greatest patriotism. He would counsel Saraki to shelve his personal situation for the moment to concentrate on the people’s business. It would be a grave mistake and abuse of office for Saraki to directly or indirectly inject his personal matter into the approval process. Saraki should not link the approval of a single Minister to his desire for extrajudicial treatment of his issues. If adhering to the decisions of the party, supporting the government’s progressive plank and working for the good of the people qualifies Tinubu for surveillance, then he will accept that. However, we know that any such surveillance is not from state security organs. Such activity would come from the insecurity agencies of the PDP and its mercenary allies elsewhere who would seek to fragment the true core of the APC so that they may scuttle the Buhari reform program and return the nation to the misgovernance of the past. They hope to delude the APC into attacking itself. By so doing, they believe they can regain through stealth, the reins of government the people seized from them through elections. They seek to break the hearts and hopes of the people. Asiwaju Tinubu would never team with anyone to gain such an inhumane objective. http://www.thescoopng.com/tinubu-condemns-sun-newspaper-for-political-slander-also-blasts-saraki-for-crass-act-of-disloyalty/ |
