Aging in Nigeria is a big challenge. There is no free medical support by the government for frail elderly people probably due to the lack of economic capacity to do so.

Since inception in 2016, Nuage Care Services has identified means to make life better for the elderly people, especially in the rural and less developed cities in the south western part of the country; ranging from training of Caregivers, social care workers, offering 12hrs and 24hrs care services.

Often a family is trying to do the best thing for the older parent. Often the older parent needs medical care or attention that they receive better in a facility. Hiring private care or providing it themselves is either too costly or physically demanding. Families often agonize about this decision, but it is the best for the older person and they receive better care and treatment and are not alone. While being at home with family is better socially , medically it may be better for them in facility. Medical insurance typically will pay for this situation easier than in home care.
