I prefer the American version with Donald Trump.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by maedan(f): 8:25pm On Oct 10, 2010
Definitely Americans have better swag. The apprentices are always cool and of course, the Trump man knows what's up. This Sugar of a dude, hmmn. I dunno. He badly needs a decent shave, for starters.

I started with the American version but I think I prefer the UK one, maybe because I live in the UK.

Dan deserved to get fired, all he did was bully instead of actually lead.

Stuart and that stupid blonde with a silly haircut needs to go next, very annoying individuals.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by DisGuy: 10:28pm On Oct 11, 2010
OMG is that Mr Viera i'm seeing you are still on this site!!!! Gunners Aluta  grin

The girls go lose this task
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by maedan(f): 12:03am On Oct 15, 2010
Wow, it's amazing what can be achieved with a gifted, mature group leader. The boys were lucky to have Stella English as their leader: she brought out the best in them and didn't get too bossy but treated them with respect. Joanna the black girl impressed me with her fiery attitude; those girls were trying to push her out. Yes, she can be aggressive, but with that lot, a girl has to stick up for herself. The right one left today. I can't wait for the girls to cock up again. As for the guys, hmmn. They were lucky this week, but I can see some star quality shining through.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by thameamead(f): 10:58am On Oct 15, 2010
i felt sorry for the black gitl too, they were trying to shut her up anytime she opened her mouth to speak, no one tried to undermine her when she stood as a team leader like week, anyone would be aggresive if they were bn ignored whenever they tried to voice an opinion, paloma is pretty but she nver wants to get her hands dirty, d asian girl is one to watch.

That book-eeze thingy. . . . .how do you turn the page?!? Na wa o!

Laura should have gone jor. Turning down the deal is a bigger mistake than being quiet in only 2nd week
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by maedan(f): 8:12am On Oct 16, 2010
If Laura was fired, I don't think anyone would ever want to be a group leader again! And staying in the background is a great game plan but can backfire, so I think the right one left.

laura is apparently a business project manager but she turned down the big deal, she should have bn fired, i hated the way she undermined the black girl every time she spoke,
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by manmustwac(op): 12:10pm On Oct 16, 2010
That black babe mouth to sharp. And besides laura thought that exclusivity meant just one store instead of chainstores
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by Nobody: 2:15pm On Oct 16, 2010
Eventually, the black girl will get the sack.

Although, I wasn't sure the rationale behind bringing her back to the board room.
Her idea was eventually chosen and the Project manager turned down the offer by BOOTS i think.

The Paloma chick is hot but . . . . . .did she do fudge all.

I wonder if joanna can change?

Me thinks it was a terrible decision by Laura to not even at least discuss the exclusivity thing.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by maedan(f): 5:33pm On Oct 16, 2010
Laura was very wise to refuse/hesitate. If the product is that good that Boots wants exclusivity, then she should look for other options before committing. It's good to be careful and not do something u'll regret later. On the other hand, considering they were showing it to just three buyers, she should have taken the offer. The book-thing wasn't that special anyway.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by manmustwac(op): 7:20pm On Oct 16, 2010
The book thing was so shiiite, that i was convinced they'd lost even before the presentation. They should've come up with something like a handheld fan that squirts cold water.

Lol, but is it so easy to think up/create an innovative idea? In one day?? They tried, the girls. It was a dumb invention, but it was an invention. If it was soo easy, we all would be creating new stuff every day. But that, of course, takes genius.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by manmustwac(op): 9:29pm On Oct 16, 2010
^^^And so what? You think its easy to pass the selection process? Some of them own companies, one is an overseas property developer, one is a bank manager besides don't they study past episodes of the apprentice to have an idea to do thier homework.

OK, but you're contradicting yourself, lol. What does a bank manager know about inventing beach products? Lol, last week it was selling sausages, and even Lord Sugar confessed that if he'd called up any of his peers in the money world to do something like that, so early in the morning for that matter, they wouldn't have been able to make talk less of sell sausages. I wonder when these apprentices will ever get some actual corporate tasks, not all these cooking and selling tongue.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by manmustwac(op): 10:19pm On Oct 16, 2010
Well all them should know the score by now and study past episodes of the apprentice. Is it not more or less the same  thing in every series? Besides i bought a hand held fan that squirts water a few years back and am sure it would've been better than the book or that towel thing.
Re: The Apprentice 2010 by maedan(f): 9:27am On Oct 17, 2010
Hmm, hand-fan that squirts water? Um, that would ruin all my make-up tongue. Seriously tho', both teams tried, 10/10 for effort. That's why Joy had to go: she made zero effort.

Huh? She was very stupid.

You have a bad product, you have shown it to two companies who only have a shop each and have not got any solid offer from them.

Then Boots a nationwide chain offers you an exclkusive deal and you say no straight awayhuh
In my job you would get sacked on the spot for that.
She should have at least asked for a 5 minutes discussion outside the office.

They could have made boots a deal that if the want exclusiveness thay have to buy a minimum number.
Boots even offered to improve the product!

That is what you call an offer you cannot refuse my friend.

I still say, caution is key, and she acted ok. She doesn't have cut-throat negotiating skills, that's obvious. For a beginner, she did alright. A big store chain know all the tricks and will get a newcomer jumping into their trap, so in the real world, it's good to check out all available options before committing. If she did so bad, she would have been fired, I think. So she deserves another chance.
