When INEC told the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal that it did not possess any servers and could not have used them during the last elections, Nigerians gasped in disbelief. What now happened to the N2.7bn budgeted for Servers and server maintenance in the INEC 2018 budget? Many asked. Well the INEC National Commissioner, Solomon Soyebi has come out to clarify the matter, stating that INEC didn’t actually use servers during the recent elections but only experimented with it in some states. (Oh now they have servers) It kinda reminds one of that long used line when a guy is trying to have his way with a babe “baby we don’t have to go all the way, just the tip will be fine”.
