Focus: When Will You Return?

WORD FOR TODAY
All men created by God will surely die and return to give an account of their deeds to the creator. Wise men live their entire life with the consciousness of eternity having God in view!!!

Scriptural Reference
"Then the king said to me (the queen also sitting beside him), "How long will your journey be? And when will you return?" So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time." (Nehemiah 2:6 NKJV)

Every man who is on a journey will have a feeling of returning home. What is happening around us provides undisputable evidence that we will all surely die and become like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again (2 Sam 14:14)

In the manner it was announced that a child is born so also it will be announced that he/she dies. Bringing this to our knowledge at this time is not to make us sad but to remind us how fleeting our days is in the land of the living. Jesus said: "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."
(Matt.8.20).

He also emphases the urgency of doing the work of the father when there is still opportunity. A man will be deceiving himself thinking he will forever be with his children, live in his house, occupy the position of authority, be in charge of what he has labour for years. Hence, you also be mindful of the fact that you will return. Remember your Creator in the days of your opportunities.

Lord! Help me to Honour you with my existence; let me never forget how fleeting my days is on earth in Jesus name. Amen
