Na so that road don dey since the 80s.

We grew up in coker village. Use to trek from dia to school at adeniyi jones.

In the evening it's always a soft rendezvous to chill.

Tinubu had a house at Sunday adigun street, same place RMD use to come hook up with jumbo adegbesun.

Men those were the days....

The question should be why can't all the roads in Nigeria be like those in Abuja?

Of course they can but won't for whatever reason best known to them and besides that place is a corridor of power. So what do you expect.
So the contractors will work well when they are physically close to the corridor of power. And then do bull sh1t work when they are far from view.
It this Nigeria mentallity that makes us keep failing.
People unwilling to do good things UNTIL someone is watching them
Go to the market, everyone is speaking Yoruba, Igbo all kinds of language. Let one single white man enter the market n stroll around, everybody will start speaking Queens English with all the phonetics complete.
Nigerians will fight and push each other to enter bus
The monument same Nigerians reach USA or western world, they stop pushing and start queueing up. Because White man is watching them.

Nigerians. Never doing the right thing from within their heart. Somebody has to monitor you before you do it.

False
We have about 5five area councils in Abuja, you can't use one to judge others. Internal roads in the other area councils are in a mess.
Meanwhile all the batteries in the cctv in Abuja has been vandalised by hausa boys picking scraps.
Abuja is different from FCT..places like gwagwalada, kubwa aren't Abuja..there are though part of FCT..Abuja is mainly Asokoro, maitama, wuse, jabi, central area and gariki

Alausa is a principal district in Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State.

It is the seat of the Lagos State Secretariat and offices of the Governor and Deputy-Governor of Lagos State. Alausa is also the location of the Lagos State House of Assembly Complex.

Alausa also has a vibrant and growing Central Business District with the presence of several multinational business concerns.

It also has many low-density residential estates like the Cornerstone Estate, MKO Abiola Gardens, etc.

Alausa boasts of excellent roads. All the roads there are well designated. They all feature road markings, functional street lights, and traffic lights,  CCTV cameras, very visible road signs, water hydrants, pavements, etc. And most importantly, potholes are scarce on roads there.

Indeed, roads in Alausa, Ikeja, is a good example of how roads in a cosmopolitan city like Lagos should look like.

Lagos State is the fifth largest economy in Africa.  The government generates N34 billion monthly from revenues generated internally (N408 billion, annually). This is far more than what many African countries generate.

With this huge resources at the state's disposal, why can’t the entire roads in Lagos be like how it is in Alausa, Ikeja?

All form of road signs are there. They are very visible. It is not light other parts of Lagos where Agberos and LASTMA will hide the road signs behind a tree or a building.

His point is that other Lagos roads are not as good. He wasn't arguing that those roads are better than any of the excellent ones you can point out in the entire world of your choice.

Simply they don't have the masses at heart. Same applied to FCT, why can't all roads in FCT be like Maitama, Asokoro. Kubwa, Lugbe, Kuje, Karu, Mpape including Gwarimpa are all mess. In fact a larger percentage of Area 1 is a mess.

Same applies to all states. Must it be only the capital that is well planned?

As it is, Lagos is a yardstick to all cities in Nigeria and West Africa at large.

don't listen to those people saying nonsense! they are pained that it is not the so-called capital city that is in the place of Lagos. they always want to be seen as the best just because they are the capital. imagine the nonsense he said: abuja is different from fct. such nonsense! it is more like saying lagos is different from lekki, vi et al.

go to abaji, kuje, gwags etc, and tell me what you find there!
