Divorce across the world is becoming societal phenomenon, and the stigma inherent in it in the olden days is fast fading away. It is superfluous to say that one of the issues being currently discussed in our society today or one of the cases being handled by our courts is the issue of divorce because it is now an epidemic phenomenon.

It is highly embarrassing and despicable for two different people from two different families to become one after which separation becomes an option. It has become a menace, too daunting to be addressed by our religious leaders as well as our society leaders owing to the sensitivity of the issue.

Many are of the opinion that separation becomes prevalent because of the inability of many couples, to, during the courtship adequately and satisfactorily assess, study and interview each other. It greatly surprises one that many couples will just think less of their children and flippantly go for divorce at the expense of the children who should be at the receiving end of the separation. ” when two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffer.”Though reasons given
