i get this error when i tried to install cLi using terminal command

Specify configs in the ini-formatted file:
/home/ikenna/.npmrc
or on the command line via: npm <command> --key value
Config info can be viewed via: npm help config

npm@3.5.2 /usr/share/npm

From code you typed there is a typo. Should be install

The above reply is correct but I don't think npm needs sudo to run.

Lesson #1: never run npm install or any other npm commands using sudo . . big security issue . . .
