Job Responsibilities:
Design the appropriate business development and marketing strategy for the company.
Organise and drive a team to achieve the business development goal of the company.
Coordinate the activities of the various departments.
Vet all the statutory and regulatory periodic returns.
Supervise daily trade execution.
Manage the company proprietary trading portfolio.
Maintain the existing customer base of the company and ensure its constant growth.
Supervise the activities of the trading team.
Prepare annual budget for Board approval.
Organise Board and Board committee meetings.
Ensure all regulatory returns are submitted as at when due.

Minimum qualifications:
Authorised dealing Clerk, not less than 5 years.
A chartered Accountant.
Have a minimum of 5 years cognate experience in finance industry with minimum of 3 years in managerial position.
Computer literate – MS Word Excel Power Point etc.
Age: Between 35 and 40 years

Compensation:
Competitive and in line with industrial standard.

He or She is expected to have good/demonstrable experience of:

Macro & Microeconomics.
Financial markets.
Financial advisory services (FAS) and Research.
Deal/transaction structuring.
Cradle to grave experience of capital structuring, capital issuance.
Business combination and Project Finance.
Analysis of market & Financial instruments.
Deal/transaction execution in a timely & efficient manner.
Strong presentation skills.


Qualification / Experience

First degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics
Possession of postgraduate degrees like MBA, MSc, ACA, ACIB, ACS will be an added advantage.
2-4 year cognate experience in a good and leading investment banking / consulting environment is required


2.0 Head, Asset and Fund Management

The ideal candidate should possess the following;



Qualification / Experience

BA, BSc. / HND in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration and any other related field.
Professional qualifications such as MBA, ACA, ACCA, ACS will be an added advantage.
Cognate and hands-on experience in Fund and Asset Management with a reputable Financial Institution with Mutual fund products and services is highly desirable.
2 – 3years’ experience with at least 1 year at Senior Management position will be an added advantage.


Required Skills

Proper understanding of investments and asset classes
Knowledge of Asset Allocation Strategies
People and Relationship management skills
Proper Knowledge of industry dynamics.

FUND MANAGEMENT-VARIABLE INCOME OFFICER

Reports to:
Group Head Investment

Business Purpose/Objective
To provide financial advice and services to FPML about a range of investment matters, including buying and selling stocks.
Analyse the stock market vis-à-vis FPML stock portfolio
Responsible for optimal return on equity on Funds managed by FPML.
Ensure equity investment is in line with the industry regulation (PENCOM) and internal standards.

Core Working Relationships
Fund Accounts, Fund Management, Research, Trade Support, Operations and ICT.

Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
To analyze stock market in relation to FPML portfolio (growth in individual stocks; corporate actions; recommended actions).
Prepare stock market Investment report and the department's activity for presentation to Investment Mgt. Committee
Prepare periodic fund management reports for specified Authorized Existing Schemes.
Provide information to duly appointed auditors to the different funds.
Manage filing and ensure that necessary documents are sent to all dealers and confirmations are received
Prepare daily portfolio reports and circulate to Management.
Ensure that stock market investments contribute their quota to ROI based on stipulated benchmark.
Responsible for corporate action issues including Dividends and Bonuses on stocks and General Meetings.
Carry out periodic appraisal of Stock Market counterparties.
Monitor portfolio for optimal constitution and returns.
Apply research data and other information from the Research and Planning Desk to enhance quality of investment recommendations to the Investment Management Committee.
Allocate available funds to shortlisted securities using the allocation/security formula approved by the Investment Strategy Committee/Risk Management Committee.
prepare investment proposals for consideration by Investment Management Committee.
Liaise with stock market counterparties and the PFC with respect to Stock Purchase/sale Orders.
Follow up with stockbroker for Contract Notes and other feedbacks on trade orders.
Make recommendations to Investment Management Committee for sale/buy approvals.
Liaise with CFO, Fund Accounts on their reconciliation issues.
Gather, analyze and interpret complicated numerical information for investment decisions.
Assess and predict financial risks and returns using financial modeling to predict outcomes.
Work with the company secretary to prepare legal documents and policies as it relates to FPML’s Investment.

Education
Degrees in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Mathematics or related field.
CFA and or MBA a plus.
CIS, ACCA, CFO, IFRS certified or other finance related professional qualifications.

Experience
Minimum 5-8 years of direct experience in primary company research and equity recommendation process, with strong Industrial sector knowledge

Knowledge
Strong Knowledge of Financial Modelling, industry, product and regulatory environment analysis,
Knowledge of equity evaluation
Knowledge of Bloomberg, NSE, FMDQ platforms
Access, Excel & other Microsoft Office Skills and Microsoft Outlook
Good understanding of financial statements, micro- and macro-economic analyses, investments analysis,
Excellent Knowledge of Portfolio management,
Project Management

Competencies/Skills
Must possess strong quantitative abilities, strategic perspective,
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Collegiality, confidence, and proactivity are highly valued.
The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
