The process for programming an Android phone varies depending on whether you have a GSM or CDMA Android.The network technology depends on the cellular carrier. In the U.S., if a phone comes from AT&T or T-Mobile, it's GSM. If it comes from another carrier, it's CDMA. GSM Androids use a SIM card that stores the phone's number and network information. Programming the phone is simply a matter of swapping the SIM cards. CDMA Androids store the programming in the phone's memory. You program the phone by dialing a special programming number.
