Are certificates necessary for programmers... Like the one's gotten from most of these IT Academy's (not sure of online) In cases like in recruiting..is it a requirement as something tangible for your employer to get an idea of your skills... A cousin of mine says it is but I don't think so... What do you guys think |

Chuky7:Depends on the level of the skill needed. Also your portfolio is another certificate in disguise |

Certificate or not, you will still have to scale the code tests and job interviews. |
