I moved offcampus in late 2017 and it was the best decision I made during my stay in the university. But my best decision may not be your own best decision I hope you understand that |

For me, staying on Campus really helped a lot. For security reasons(my school environment is known to be cultists Den) but they never trespassed the school gate. Unless on very few occasions, there's never power and water supply scarcity. For these reasons some of my colleagues would charge their phones daily in my corner. My hostel was fairly clean and not over crowded. I also enjoyed timely information when my phone got bad as I could reach one or two persons who were also in the hostel. Sometimes, students go broke so we could join resources to organise sharp food. We would also not spend unnecessary daily #100 transport (this depends on distance to school though). If you're a girl, your foodstuff and provision are SAFE cos everyone maintains personal boundaries. There's this saying that, "if five girls share a room, they're ready to own five different Televisions, fans and Beds". So, if you're a guy and do not like people in your space 24/7, hostel is not for you. Last bullet: I finally decided to stay off Campus. Then booomm... Covid 19 pandemic has made me pay rent for a house I didn't use while those of them in the hostels are not bothered. |
