This week on the Lingo Africa website, we featured a slightly long-form article talking about how to be a truly skilled worker. There are many different ways to be a skilled worker. One way is continuous learning, especially the kind that is done without the aid of any institution and is self-styled. We all have our best ways of learning, some through experiences, others through focused groups, and the like. Regardless of your style of learning, you should ensure that you are learning something new at least every month. When was the last time you learned something new? Not just by taking online courses (that you may end up not using). You can learn new stuff through workshop/seminar attendance, online networking groups, or just a stimulating conversation with peers. It's a new work week. Try to learn something new!
