My personal observation of popular ideologies in our current society gives me an impression that decency and morality may soon seize to exist because of subtle intimidation. Those who wear decent clothes do not tell you that looking decent does not define you. But those who wear indecent clothes tell you that looking "sexy" does not define you. Non-abusers of drugs do not tell you that proper usage of drugs does not define you. But some drug addicts say drug addiction does not define you. Virgins do not tell non-virgins that virginity does not defines you. But among people who got deflowered before marriage, the sincere ones respect themselves by keeping quiet, while those who are either passionate about immorality or too proud to admit their faults claim that virginity is lack of opportunity. Among those who get pierced or tattooed, the ones that society made to see the act as a choice of fashion innocently mix with those who do not get pierced or tattooed, but some people that get pierced or tattooed ridicule or excommunicate those who do not join them. Indecent look does not define you, but you are worried about those who look decent. Drug addiction does not define you, but you need non-addicts to join you. Getting pierced or tattooed does not define you, but you are uncomfortable around those who do not do it. Virginity is lack of opportunity. But you (an unmarried non-virgin) tease unmarried virgins and secretly look for what can restore your body to its original form. Examine your conscience. |
