What is a Development plan? The Development Plan is a document that provides planners with guidelines to follow during the development assessment process.

A Developmental assessment is a process that measures a child's attainment of physical or cognitive skills that allow continued maturation, learning, and function in society.

There are 6 Stages of the Assessment Process, which are discussed extensively in our eBook (Your Customized Guide To Immediate Employment)

Based on our discussion, Development is a process that creates growth, progress, positive change, or the addition of physical, economic, environmental, social, and demographic components.

When we apply this definition to Career Development, we define it as a dynamic planning document intended to reflect your increased career development learning. The plan helps you:
Set goals
Clarify the actions needed to achieve these goals.
Commit to participating in the planned activities

We can simply define a Career Action Plan as a roadmap that will take you from point 1 to point 2.
Point 1 is the process of choosing your career /vocation to Point 2 getting a job in your chosen career and advancing in it.

Also referred to as an Individualized (or Individual) Career Development Plan, it will help you reach your career goals.
