Hi Nairalanders, Pls I need your help
I got a job offer from a Governor as the best graduating student in my school. After my nysc, I met with my HOD and even the school admin to help me process the job but no response from them.
Someone just told me about going directly to the Governor's office/Secretariat to submit my application. pls I would like to know, do you think its ok to do that and even if, how do I go about it?
Are you in good terms with the present HOD? Everything boils down to his desk. Write a formal application to the school, through the department; copy the Dean of the Faculty and make reference to the slot given to you by the Governor.

Most times, the government is not the issue but the individual who are opportune to flex power. I understand your predicament as I am presently in your shoes.

But, one thing is certain your fate is not tied to a man. Also, don't depend on their job; seek other opportunities and possible apply for international scholarships to leave this country and go to where your intellects can be appreciated.

I wish you all the best.

I saw your post about the NNPC Graduate Trainee interview, and I was in a similar situation—slightly above the age limit but still got shortlisted. Unfortunately, I wasn’t selected in the final stage. I wanted to ask if you got in, just to understand if age played a role or if there were other factors. Hope you don’t mind sharing. Thanks!
