Time to scrap the NYSC program. Youth corp members have been cut down in their prime, in their own country. My own sister escaped by the whiskers. I am shocked that there has been no outrage by parents and leaders from the the areas where the victims come from. This is not a one-off, it has been a recurrent decimal that NYSC members are cut down in Northern Nigeria at the flimsiest of excuses. Why should those who blatantly refuse to be educated decimate the population of the educated? Why? President Goodluck Jonathan should consider scrapping the NYSC, or let people serve in safer regions. Parents should cry out now. All NYSC members should boycott the remaining elections in solidarity with the dead.
