So many people want to be a copywriter today. This is because of the great prospects that are available in the skill.

However, no matter how much you want to make from selling copies, you must understand the nitty-gritty or better still the ingredients that make for a great copy.

There are four basic components of a great copy. Therefore, if you want your copy to make much sense and pull massive sales for your or your client, you must make sure there are contained in the copy.

The four basic components of a good copy are:

1. The headline.
This is the first and most important part of your copy. Any heading that cannot pull the interest of a reader has not done well.

So many people think that all they need is good content and that the heading does not matter. I have a question for that person: Of what good is your copy of the heading cannot bring someone to read it?

Therefore, suffice me to say that the first selling point of your advert or copy is the heading. A good headline will always attract readers.

2. The hook.
What the hook is to the fish in the sea is what the first sentence of your copy is to the prospective buyer.

The hook is the first sentence that comes after the heading. You don't need to start telling your stories here.

This is the section of your copy that you use to get the reader to read on. You use words that will relate to his problem.

The hook makes your copy look like the most important thing to the reader. You need to learn sentences that you can use to keep the reader looking at your copy.

3. The body.
This is where you explain the content of your copy.
Note: You don't begin with the solution, you begin with the problem that your product is about to solve.

If you know how to construct a good body, you will sell more than anybody in the market.

4. The call to action.
This is an integral part of your copy. The heading, the hook, and the body may be useless if they cannot compel the reader to take immediate or urgent action.

Of what use is a great copy that cannot sell well. The beauty of copywriting is in the sales that it commands.
