Sometimes you just wonder if Lending out your car is a Sin or a friend/family member somehow gets access to your car keys and zoom, he's taken off. When I was younger my Dad told me a story of how he bought his first car and decided to travel to University of Ife (now OAU) to check on his brother-in-law (my mum's younger brother) who was at that time an undergraduate in the campus. He got there all the way from Lagos, parked his car and went in to see "my Uncle".....along the line he took a nap while his key was on a nearby table. This my very naughty uncle and two of his hostel mates picked his key and went on a joy ride outside the Campus.. Long story cut short they had a fatal accident and the car was totaled as in complete write off... My Dad's ONLY consolation was that nobody died. So in a way he was still thanking God. New car gone.... My own experience loading........ In the mean time share yours. 2 Likes |

BusterG: No experience I don't allow anyone else drive my car...I rather give the person transport to wherever he or she is going to or drive them wherever myself.. I don't have any energy for family meeting or friends guilt-tripping me when shits hits the fan... Very few people will drive and care for my car the way I do... Funny thing is cars seem to know when a stranger drives them...when the stranger returns them, something almost always seems off I don't ask to drive people's cars...so it's kinda easy to tell people to stay away from mine... Of course exceptions can be made in very dire emergencies...but aside that, my car is out of bounds 8 Likes |

It was actually my mechanic, he wanted to test drive after fixing my brake pad, I was waiting at his workshop, only to see something that looked like my car dangling towards his shop, I need to make sure it was my car by checking the plate number, Lol. Headlight don break, tire dey dangle like Weytin I no know, I was in shock. We end up putting money together to fix it but the car wasn't the same again, had to sell it off. 5 Likes |
