- bacteria infected environment/water (this is the main cause that erode the digestive tract layer thereby causing the stomach acid to damage the thinning layer leading to ulcer)

Good afternoon Nairalanders. I've been really worried with the latest numerous cases of ulcer.I school in a federal university in Nigeria
So I fell sick few days ago and went for treatment in the school health centre and while waiting to see the doctor, about five people were rushed in almost immediately and when they were being attended to it, was discovered that they had various degrees of stomach ulcers and apart from that, recently a lot of people complained about ulcer symptoms and that led me into the question "what really causes ulcer and why is this ulcer rampant especially among students"?

Please doctors in the house enlighten us

Depression, anxiety, over thinking and worrying on empty stomach causes ulcer too. Heart break is one big cause of depression and over thinking..
