A single cubic km of salt water has the potential energy capacity to run a country like Nigeria at its current size for well over 80 years, the actual problem with our piss poor grid isn’t how much electricity we’re producing(although that’s part of the problem) but more about how well controlled that electricity is as a circuit needs a controlled flow of energy otherwise it all flows through the circuit too fast destroying electronics and electric equipment while draining power supplies in a fraction of a second. Our infrastructure is visibly horrendous in comparison to the developed world meaning constant short circuits and cables being cut is and has been such an obnoxious for so long that it doesn’t amaze me why nearly the entire country has had issues with generators being a source of energy for so long. It looks like the federal and provincial governments are picking up on this since they raised the budgets for infrastructure in general to N12.5 trillion |
