Nairalanders with expert knowledge on these two cars should help. I need to get one of them as a suprise gift for my younger brother, but don't really know which is better.
Lexus Rx300
Or
Toyota highlander 2002 model.
I want something that won't be difficult for him to maintain.

Buy him rx330,he wud be grateful...i dnt like rx300

Depends on your budget. I think the highlander is more expensive. Why not consider RX 330 or 2005 highlander?

Price of 2005-2007 highlander are BTW 3.9M - 4.2M none accidental but 2002 -2004 highlander is 3.3-3.6M, All depend on your choice and your budget

Both gat the same engine (if u r going for V6 of the highlander as we gat v4 of highlander but lexus is always V6)

Now, the highlander is more roomy than lexus

Lexus comes with small screen (factory fitted)

As for me, I will go for it highlander (I don use am before and na good car)

In conclusion, both dey ok but I still prefer highlander to rx300

And hey, I use lexus presently (although Es Series) so not that I hate lexus cos both na same Toyota

Lexus simply means Luxury Export to US

Both are same, same chassis and share some parts. None is better than he other but they have some differences which should determine your choice.

1. Rx300 is always more luxurious than highlander so if luxury is your thing RX300 should be considered.

2. Highlander has a 4 cylinder engine if fuel economy is your priority then highlander should be considered

3. Highlander has a 3rd row version and bigger cargo space hence in the roomy department highlander wins.

Every other things is identical from fwd t AWD to V6 engine
