I've been trying to completely switch from Windows to Linux, and I notice that a large number of applications no require python to run, and even more GUI apps are developed in python. I would love to add a new language to my arsenal , and seun has thoroughly convinced me python is the way to go. If you got learning/training material/tips on python programming, could you contact me (or let me contact you, whichever)?

Just download Python from www.python.org and start playing with it. It comes with a tutorial.

Thanks a lot. I was actually inspired by the app gDesklets: some of the plugins had errors and for the love of me i could not correct them because the language looked like english language
