Focus: The man in you

WORD FOR TODAY
Don't allow the man in you (your sinful nature) to get the better of you in all situations of life. Allow God to always work in you to do His will!!!

The terrible nature of men becomes very obvious when the man in us gets the better of us. Despite the investment of God in terms of the word of God we were exposed to and the level of His anointing in our lives, the fact remains that terrible unholy thoughts which should not be spoken of still run in our hearts. Hence, we must always cling to the grace of God that teaches us per time to say no to the sinful nature in us.

For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God (Rom 8:7-8 NLT). We must allow Christ to live His life in us. It is when we do this that we can love our neighbours as ourselves, be happy with their progress and achievements, forgive their sins against us, bear their burdens and live as a living sacrifice in our pilgrimage!!!

Lord! I receive the grace to deny myself; work in me to do your good pleasure in Jesus' name. Amen!!!

Emphasis:
You will only do the will of God each time you deny yourself and allow God to do His good pleasure in you!!!
