chukel:you were totally right. He took the car to the panel beater after sending him money for the new bumper and the panel beater said the bumper can be worked on so no need for new one. I agreed and said he should make a refund after paying the panel beater.

valarinz:what he probably meant was sometimes if your agent knows way he could prevent boys in port from looting your car.
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by Jestin: 5:28am On Apr 01
kolabad:the problem is that the car came immediately the Vin-evaluation issue started so the car was at Lagos port for too long. He did test run the car and he said it is sounding like Turbo Engine and like someone commented, I hope the catalyst was not removed
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by Jestin: 5:35am On Apr 01
Cokahot:how do you know if the catalyst has been removed? He tested the car and said it is sounding like a turbo engine. How much is the catalyst sold for it to be important to the vandals
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by valarinz: 9:53am On Apr 01
You know damn sure that's not what they meant...
Besides, can u kindly tell me how his agent could prevent theft at cotonou Port for eg, or how his agent could prevent the mishandling and theft on vehicles inside terminal by the shipping companies workers
They bash person car during loading and offloading and people for NL are saying his agent is responsible, lol
Pls if you have enough cash, ship your car via container and worry about the issues peculiar to container shipping instead, you can put only one car inside container sef,as egbon concerned. Else you ship via roro and hope for the best
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by valarinz: 9:56am On Apr 01
Ok, if the catalyst has been stolen inside the terminal too, someone will come here and start asking you to hold your agent responsible again.
Nigerians like soft target sha, as they no get the connections to battle the big guys, they pick on the ones wey reach their hand
It's just like how people to go bank for transactions and there's bad network delaying transactions and they start heaping insults on the poor bank teller who's only job is to operate the system in front of him

valarinz:what could be the problem with the noise from all indications?
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by kolabad: 12:11pm On Apr 01
valarinz:Let’s leave cotonue boss and do regular ports. I had my experience last year. The Lexus had some documentation problems so it could not be cleared. In total car spent 10 weeks inside the port. I was already expecting the worse. Car came out and not a single thing was stolen from it. Not even the keys or the side mirror. It just had minor dents from offloading and that was it. Hence my believe that to an extent a well grounded agent may know one or two ways to prevent stuffs from being stolen from a car. Doesn’t mean if anything is stolen it is the fault of the agent though. That’s purely a Nigerian problem
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by amstamon: 1:02pm On Apr 01
kolabad:Stop wasting ur time quoting him, who knows if he's the agent.
As if there are no securities in ports to an extent vandals would have enough time to do all those stealings.
My car was vandalized during Endsars, battery, coils, brain box, and catalyst was removed.
My point? Vandals cannot steals a battery without touching your coils (9k par one)9k * 6 = 54k. And brain box which should cost more than the battery with just 10"bolt holding it lol.
Most agents are thieves most especially those that resides in ajegunle and olodi apapa. (personal experience).
They sees clients (living abroad) as a soft targets, making sure they exploits them to the best of their abilities
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by valarinz: 9:56pm On Apr 01
If every Lexus that comes to Nigeria gets the same fate as the OPs', then we wouldn't be having this discussion
There are still thousands of people who import Lexus using those useless agents and they get their cars just like you got yours.
Also, you say your agent is Superman therefore nothing can go missing on your cars abi, ok.
You didn't understand my cotonou comment,it means you're still not fully grounded on the way some of these things happen, pls I wasn't referring to importing cars from cotonou, instead I'm talking about that your car which is coming to Lagos on a vessel, while the vessel is in transit, shit could go missing before it even arrives naija, hope you get it now
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by valarinz: 9:57pm On Apr 01
How can I remotely tell that?
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by valarinz: 10:00pm On Apr 01
People like you are always the loudest, you're even insinuating I'm an agent
Go put padlock for your Corolla brain box bro, I've seen a couple of guys do it
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by kolabad: 10:10pm On Apr 01
valarinz:I don’t see where I mentioned my agent as Superman seeing as I don’t even use one agent for all cars I only listed a scenario of car delay and if you believe of those thousands of cars you mentioned experience same delay of 3 months plus in port and . 80 percent or more come out the same the I hear you boss
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by valarinz: 10:18pm On Apr 01
Keep shifting goal posts
Na him agent bash the car inside Terminal abi,or your super agents go to drive the cars out carefully by themselves?
Majority of the fixes this Bros is lamenting about now is due to the bashing, and you guys are here trying to sound woke
Abeg go and rest,I don't even know why I'm giving you this much attention
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by kolabad: 10:30pm On Apr 01
valarinz:lol shift goal post . From my very first comment I mentioned ‘sometimes’ they could help meaning not all the time. Second comment I still mentioned if at all they couldn’t help it’s not anybody fault it just how Nigeria is. Thirdly It was obvious I was talking about theft not damage from handling as I still mentioned a car of mine to have been damaged from handling parts were just not stolen . So I don’t even know why you are getting yourself worked up over a normal conversation. Shalom boss
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by JamesbaIIy: 11:04pm On Apr 01
Lol, that is normal vaIarinz, he thrives on inserting himself into situations like this, for maximum attention, followed by snide and condescending comments. Best way to make him go away is to ignore him completely.
Take a look at all the comments he's made so far on this thread. No single helpful post, all sarcasm and irrelevant nonsense.
Re: Grimaldi Destruction. by kolabad: 11:17pm On Apr 01
