Important Information!

Victor Oye, the National Chairman of the APGA, has been fired by the Supreme Court.

Nigeria's Supreme Court recently reviewed a judgment it issued on October 14, 2021. The Supreme Court, in ruling on Mr Jude Okeke's appeal against the Appeal Court's Kano division's decision, declared that Ozo Victor Oye's dismissal was unjust. The appeal was dismissed because it was about the party's internal affairs.

On this premise, INEC acknowledged Oye and approved Prof Soludo as the party's candidate for the Anambra state governorship election on November 6.

However, the Supreme Court met again yesterday to reconsider the decision. Chief Edozie Njoku had written to the Supreme Court, requesting a review of the decision, claiming that it was he, not Oye, who had been ousted by the Jigawa state high court, which had been challenged in Kano.

Chief Njoku argued the Supreme Court that Oye was an outsider who tried to join the appeal and should not have been identified as the APGA's national chairman on page 13 of the judgment.

The Supreme Court, in its wisdom, convened yesterday to examine the decision. The five-member panel agreed that mentioning Oye as APGA's national chairman was an error.

As a result, they went over the decision again, fixed the error, and added Chief Edozie Njoku's name as APGA's National Chairman.

The Certified True Copy of the reviewed judgment is held by AIF Media. We'll keep you updated shortly.

That shows that APGA primaries is null and void, then APC which is the second party will take over the state.
