Clouds aren't all the same. Cloud computing is separated into groups based on where computing resources are physically located and who has access to them. Public cloud Public clouds are owned and operated by a third-party cloud service provider that delivers services to the general public. In a public cloud, the cloud provider owns and operates the hardware, software, and other supporting infrastructure. These services are accessed and controlled through a web browser. Private cloud A private cloud is a cloud environment used just by one company and maybe physically located in the company's data center. Large companies frequently keep their data and applications in a private cloud for security reasons. In other cases, private clouds are used to ensure compliance with company requirements. When it comes to deploying a private cloud, businesses have two options: build it in-house or use a hosted private cloud service. A public cloud provider agrees to set aside computing resources for a hosted private cloud, but only one customer is allowed to use them. Hybrid cloud A hybrid cloud is a combination of public and private clouds connected by technology that allows data and applications to flow between them. Hybrid cloud computing is preferred by businesses because of its enhanced flexibility, wider deployment options, and optimal infrastructure, security, and compliance.
